“This Solemnity reminds the members of the Polish National Catholic Church to pray for the living and departed clergy of the Church, to support the need for the increase of vocations to the holy orders of our Church as well as our Savonarola Theological Seminary with their prayers, labor and finances.

“It is not you who chose Me, it is I Who have chosen you.” (John 15:16). Indeed, all of us realize that God is the author of each vocation to the priesthood. It is He who inspires the vocations and receives a free response to His call. The freedom of choice is very clear to us from the often used example of the rich man to whom Jesus addressed the words: “If you wish to be perfect, go and sell what you own…and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow Me.” (Matthew 19:21).” — From “God’s Field” Volume 87, Issue 24, page 6

O Jesus, Eternal Priest;
 keep all Your priests within the shelter of Your
 Sacred Heart, where none may harm them.
 Keep unstained their anointed hands which daily touch Your Sacred Body.
Keep unsullied their lips purpled with Your Precious Blood.
 Keep pure and unearthly their hearts sealed with the sublime marks of Your glorious priesthood.
 Let Your holy love surround them and shield them
from the world’s contagion.
 Bless their labors with abundant fruit, and may the souls to whom they have ministered to be their joy and consolation and in Heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown.
O Mary, Queen of the clergy, pray for us;
 obtain for us many holy priests. Amen.
