Administrator’s brief report: Holy Ghost Parish 2009

I started visiting our Parishioners while blessing their homes after the Epiphany of the Lord (January 6, 2009). I visited 12 (twelve) families. Thank you very much for your kindness and generous offerings.

We had no baptism in the year 2009.

First Holy Communion classes started September 12. Actually we have one student – Joseph Karvois from our parish.

Unfortunately, our Parish lost one (1) member in 2009: John Dziedziak Sr. (Age 77) passed away on May 11th and was buried at our cemetery on May 15th. On February 18th I celebrated the funeral service for Sandra Caddy – she died on February 12th.

Holy Mass was celebrated every Sunday at 11:00 AM.

The Sick Parishioners were visited mostly on the first Thursday or Sunday of each month. There were 43 (forty three) shut-ins from our Parish visited. They received Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion at their homes, hospital or at nursing homes.

In the year 2009 we celebrated 77 services – 1083 attended the services and 923 received the Holy Communion. [2008: 92 services; 986 – 850].

This year the parish repaired the roof at the church and in the rectory. The work was very expensive but necessary do to it.
